COE

CENTERS OF EXCELLENCE

Our Centers of Excellence are national groups of employees who are experts in their markets or disciplines (healthcare, higher education, K-12, mission critical, life sciences, and high performance/sustainable buildings) and who work together as a collective team sharing knowledge relating to state-of-the-art facility development practices. Each COE is led by a Principal and has a knowledge manager who helps gather and disseminate information and data to COE members. The COEs assemble our most experienced professionals in all disciplines to compare notes and learn from each other for the benefit of the entire company.

The COEs are tasked with two main objectives:

  1. Leading innovative service improvements

    COEs review traditional company practices in their market sectors, the current needs and trends in the market, operational trends and design trends, to ensure there is a connection from Gilbane practices to owner-driven deliverables.

  2. Lending expertise to project teams

    The COEs also act as a resource network to Gilbane’s project teams for innovations, ‘watch-outs’ and alternative approaches. Each COE has its own web-based portal to provide employees across the country with immediate access to new information.

Gilbane’s COEs leverage the knowledge of today’s issues to proactively advocate for our clients’ needs and objectives.
