Rebuilding Together

Teamwork is at the very root of the Gilbane culture. This philosophy of working together to achieve results translates into our commitment with the community: Gilbane actively seeks out charitable partners who could use a helping hand from building experts.

For example, Gilbane maintains a strong relationship with Rebuilding Together, a group that brings together skilled construction professionals and volunteers who work together to renovate the homes of those unable to themselves perform needed maintenance. This worthwhile cause is an annual rite of spring for Gilbane in several cities. Months before the event, Gilbane house-captains carefully plan the resources and manpower needed. Then, they fan out and manage the work of volunteers eager to do painting, landscaping and other home-improvement projects. Many Gilbane employees also join the work crews. Through the years, Gilbane has helped renovate countless homes and is very proud to have assisted so many of our neighbors.

We are equally proud of the annual charity golf tournaments we organize in several of our home cities. Over the last few years, Gilbane has raised several hundred thousand dollars through these events, at which we bring together subcontractors and other friends of the firm for a day of golf, with all proceeds benefiting a number of outstanding charities.
