Tomorrow's Leaders

Today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders, and Gilbane is focused on helping students succeed. We are a leading builder of elementary, middle and high schools, and we’re also a leader in higher education, where we help colleges and universities across the country create facilities that better serve their students.

We are intimately familiar with the challenges faced by today’s students and teachers, and are working to help make the education process better for everyone. During construction, Gilbane seeks out opportunities to be involved with students and teach them about the design and building process through our Student Inclusion program.

Gilbane and its employees also support universities from coast to coast. Our ties to institutions of higher learning, such as Brown University, are a source of pride for Gilbane.

In addition, Gilbane every year identifies exemplary freshmen enrolled in selected secondary schools in Rhode Island and provides them with financial assistance throughout high school and college via our Minority Scholarship Award program. Students are chosen based on financial need, academic standing and a good disciplinary record, as well as on whether they display qualities similar to Gilbane’s core values. Our employees spend time during the year with these students, offering guidance and mentoring as they continue through their academic experience.
