The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) have named Gilbane Building Co. as the winner of the Construction Safety and Excellence Award in the Building Division with between 1 and 4 million work hours. 2007
2007 National Safety That Soars Award:
Gilbane received the Safety that Soars award, from Industrial Safety & Hygiene News, for its innovative use of safety programs including DBO2’s pocket PC-based SafetyNet. The safety analysis and inspection software is designed to help firms in the construction, mining, energy and other industries to improve quality and productivity while preventing worker injury.

2006
Gilbane was awarded the Construction Industry Safety Excellence (CISE) Award by the Construction Users Roundtable (CURT). The award, designed to encourage efforts to improve safety by recognizing safety leaders in all segments of the construction industry, is based on Gilbane's three-year safety performance and safety best practices. Applicants had to be nominated by a major industry organization before CURT would even review their submissions. The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) reviewed Gilbane’s application and nominated the company for the award.
