The Translational and Biomedical Research Center is a 310,000 SF state-of-the-art facility providing shared research space as well as two wings of laboratories for approximately 80 researchers and physicians. The final design includes 95,000 square feet of research support space, 160,000 square feet of generic research laboratory space, 25,000 square feet of shell space for future programs, and a 30,000 SF mechanical/electrical penthouse.

The new facility is located on a prominent site off Watertown Plank Road in the heart of the Milwaukee County Regional Center campus. The 250-acre campus houses the largest concentration of medical providers in Southeastern Wisconsin including the Medical College of Wisconsin, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, the BloodCenter of Wisconsin, Curative Rehabilitation Services and Froedtert Hospital. Research conducted at this new facility will help develop cures for many of the diseases and genetic abnormalities that have plagued both children and adults.
