College Recruits - Management Training Program

Our Management Training Program is a two-year period of intensive exposure to many facets of our operation, tailored specifically to college graduates. You’ll get exposure to our construction methods and practices through actual work assignments in the field and office.

How it works
Basically, one year is spent on assignments in the field at a project site and one year in a Regional Office. Both field and office assignments are designed to familiarize you with overall procedures and departmental policies. You’ll experience varying intensities, work- loads, and responsibilities, depending on the magnitude of the field project and regional office situations. A mentor will be assigned to you for support.

The program typically covers the following areas:

  • FIELD ASSIGNMENTS – Field Engineer, Office Engineer, Project Accountant, Cost Engineer and Assistant Superintendent

  • OFFICE ASSIGNMENTS – Estimator, Scheduling Engineer, Business Development Trainee, and Assistant Purchasing Agent

Throughout your two-year training period, you and your supervisors evaluate your strengths to decide which long-term career path to pursue.

Candidate Selection
Each year, we travel to selected college campuses throughout the country to interview students in their final year of school prior to graduation with either a Bachelor or Master Level Degree in a building construction or engineering curriculum. The most promising candidates are invited for a final interview.

Selection of candidates for the Management Training Program is based primarily on:

  • Leadership Potential
  • Academic performance and professional potential
  • Interest in General Contracting and Construction Management
  • Applicable work experience
  • Professional presentation
