This business unit serves a broad spectrum of clients in markets ranging from Higher Education, K-12, Sports and Recreation, Convention and Cultural as well as Government, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare. Our main office is headquartered in Manhattan and we maintain full service offices in Albany, NY, Lawrenceville, NJ, and San Juan, PR. Gilbane has been working in New York since 1949, in New Jersey since 1966, and Puerto Rico since 2002. We have built some of the Region's most high profile public jobs. In New York, projects include the 1964 Worlds Fair in Flushing Meadows Park in the borough of Queens, the British Airways and Eastern Airline's Terminal at John F. Kennedy (JFK) International Airport, Columbia University's Baker Field and the 1980 Olympics Winter Games in Lake Placid, NY. New Jersey’s projects include the New Jersey State House Dome project where in 2000 we were the recipient of the prestigious Build America Award for the successful restoration. As our company's presence has grown in this market over the past 60 years we have been the proud recipient of three recent CMAA Awards for the Prudential Center’s Newark Arena - home of the New Jersey Devils, Trinitas Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Care Center as well as The Brooklyn Museum’s Beaux Arts Court Renovation. With our design partners HOK Sport and Venue, EwingCole and Polshek Partnership Architects, we have been able to exceed our Customers expectations on both of these projects earning us this prestigious recognition. In Puerto Rico we have been successfully performing Project Management for several high profile clients such as Amgen, FDA, VWR and the University of Puerto Rico.
