Gilbane is serving as construction manager for the 101,000-square-foot renovation and 51,000-square-foot addition to the Case Library and Center for Information Technology. The library will provide students and faculty with sophisticated technological resources while ensuring easier access to Colgate’s outstanding collections. Separate areas will be available for videoconferencing and distance learning, audio and video studios, a multimedia production suite, and public computing. The library will feature a soaring lobby reminiscent of a luxury hotel, a 24-hour cafe, computer centers and classrooms, a three-story atrium, and a bold new glass entrance facing the upper campus.

Program Management
New 50,000-square-foot student recreation center that features three basketball courts, fitness center, aerobics room, locker rooms and jogging track. Residence hall village improvements that add 186 beds in both new and converted facilities totalling 62,000 square feet, and include a new reception area, lounge, mail room and laundry room.

A major Master Plan Renovation and new construction effort, including a comprehensive Heart Center, Women’s and Infants Center and a wholesale upgrade of In-patient and Same-Day Surgery, Imaging and Emergency and Trauma centers.  The project will be undertaken in multiple phases to accommodate decanting of existing programs to off-site facilities, relocations of in-patient clinical functions to more appropriate functional adjacencies with other programs, and consolidation of programs previously spread-out through the existing hospital.

New 42,000 SF Ambulatory Care Center and 360,000 SF, seven-story, 360-bed replacement hospital including 26-bassinet pediatric unit, a full emergency dept, radiology department, surgical suite, cardiology program, intensive care units, same-day surgery; maternity and Level I, Level II and Level III nurseries, pediatric med/surg nursing unit and pediatric ICU, med/surg nursing units, dietary and administrative areas.
