Johnson & Johnson World Headquarters

Founded in NJ, over a century ago, Johnson & Johnson's world headquarters remain in New Brunswick today on a one million-square-foot campus with 2,500 employees. Gilbane was initially engaged to convert their manual, paper-based work order system to a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) utilizing FacilityCenter 7.2. The goal was to drive efficiency and improve services to employees throughout its world headquarters.

Using a phased implementation model, Gilbane i.management began the project by identifying all of the system requirements and then designing and documenting a solution that is tailored to Johnson & Johnson's unique needs. Once approved, Gilbane implemented the system and rolled it out into the production environment working side by side with Johnson & Johnson's team.

Once the FacilityCenter for Maintenance Management was implemented, Gilbane commenced with the implementation of FacilityCenter's CAD Integrator for Space Management. Completed in July of 2003, Gilbane created a graphical space inventory of all of Johnson & Johnson's 1,000,000+ square feet that allowed users to read and update space-related data in a graphics environment.

Earlier this spring Johnson and Johnson utilized Gilbane's knowledge of their business processes and database to assist them with their FC 8i assessment, which TRIRIGA was performing. Gilbane's independent review of the TRIRIGA assessment documentation addressed all aspects of the migration plan development including client specific process and scope issues, as well as future FM technology initiatives such as hand-held solutions.
