Maryland Stadium Authority - Baltimore Raven's Stadium

The Maryland Stadium Authority (MSA) is responsible for all stadium operation at the Camden Yards Sports Complex including Orioles Ballpark, the Warehouse and Raven's Stadium. The MSA has used FacilityCenter for several years to help manage maintenance and operations at the Warehouse and Orioles Ballpark but had not taken any action to configure and load data associated with Raven's Stadium. Gilbane was contracted to review the existing installation of FacilityCenter and make the necessary changes to incorporate Raven's stadium; update any data standards that applied to all three facilities; and collect and load space and equipment data associated with Raven's stadium.

Based on a review of existing standards and facility structure, Gilbane i.management redefined the hierarchy to incorporate Raven's Stadium. This effort was made more significant as all existing space records were affected along with the entire work order history file.

Several core data tables including the manufacturer file, asset class and type and the equipment catalog were modified and updated to minimize redundancies, enforce data integrity, and eliminate values that were never used.

Using the construction drawings, balancing reports, vendor submittals, field audits and various hand-written records, Gilbane began the process of tabulating space and equipment records. Approximately 1,260 spaces and 145 seating sections were cataloged. To support game-day operations where trouble calls are tracked to the individual fan (season ticket holder) and seat, the entire seating bowl of 69,000 seats was loaded into the FacilityCenter database.

Data for over 1,500 mechanical, plumbing, electrical and security related items, including stadium and site lighting systems, were collected and loaded into the database. Existing preventive maintenance tasks as defined by the client were then attached to the appropriate equipment records and scheduled.

Gilbane i.management also created several customized reports to address labor tracking concerns, work order completion rates and non-football event related chargebacks.
