County of San Diego In March 2003, Gilbane participated in an FC8i Upgrade Assessment for the County of San Diego with Tririga. Gilbane had previously performed the upgrade of SPAN 6.5 to FacilityCenter 7.1.3 and therefore was familiar with the County's facility data and work process. During that earlier upgrade process, Gilbane's services had included modifying the primary building code values according to County requirements. This was an important task since many records in FC 7.1.3 referenced this field. This will be similar to the organizational data change requirements identified by AOC in this proposal. Gilbane is presently providing technical consulting services to perform the migration of existing Property, Lease, Asset, and Maintenance data from FC 7.1.3 to FC 8.2. Data record counts to be moved include more then 1200 building records, approximately 18,000 employee records, more then 65,000 assessor parcel records, and more then 250,000 work order records. External data is being imported from the County's Financial system, PeopleSoft system, Assessor Parcel system, and their Utility Billing system. There are over 170 user-defined attributes to be designed into FC 8.2 and migrated from the existing FC 7.1.3 system. Additionally, there will be more then 25 new attributes developed for FC 8.2 from these external data sources and approximately 15 new or modified workflows are required for the migration. As part of the project, Gilbane will work with the County to pilot and test the Document Manager, CAD Integrator, and PDA Interface from JCUBE. In order to support the projects timeline the County also leveraged Gilbane's extensive experience with web hosting to provide a hosted FC 8i development and test system for the County Gilbane currently hosts over 250 sites to support their national client base. The FC 8.2 migration project is scheduled to be completed first quarter 2008. |
