National Institutes of Health Once completed, the 850,000-square-foot Mark O. Hatfield Clinical Research Center (CRC) will house 250 inpatient beds, 100 day-hospital stations and 250,000 square feet of laboratories for clinical research. It will replace the current inpatient nursing facility. Occupancy is scheduled for the summer of 2008. Gilbane's Transition Planning & Management is providing activation and occupancy management services in support of this complex project that involves the transfer of CRC patients and maintenance of uninterrupted services. Among other services, the team will conduct multiple strategic planning sessions using Gilbane's card trick project planning tool, compile a medical equipment and instrumentation inventory and procure more than $13 million in medical equipment and furniture, fixtures and equipment. In addition we will provide coordination of the installation, testing and calibration process, move-related vendor management, training and orientation. |
